Freedom EVO® HSM Workstation

Promega and Tecan are partnering to provide a uniquely efficient and reliable system for isolating genomic DNA from large volumes (1-10 ml) of blood, typically in 10 ml Vacutainer® tubes. The Freedom EVO HSM and Reliaprep Large Volume HT gDNA Kit allows automated recovery of pure gDNA from up to 32 samples.

EFFICIENT gDNA EXTRACTION WITH THE PROMEGA RELIAPREP™ LARGE VOLUME HT gDNA ISOLATION SYSTEM

Efficient gDNA extraction with the Promega ReliaPrep™ Large Volume HT gDNA Isolation System – tailored to your DNA biobanking needs Tecan and Promega are partnering to provide a uniquely efficient and reliable system for isolating genomic DNA from large volumes (1-10 ml) of blood, typically drawn into a standard 10 ml Vacutainer tube. The combination of the Freedom EVO, the ReliaPrep™ HSM and the ReliaPrep™ Large Volume HT gDNA Kit allows automated recovery of pure gDNA from up to 32 blood samples (each up to 10ml) in four hours.

Programming and running a Nucleic Acid Purification workflow can be done with greater speed, simplicity and process security using the intuitive TouchTools touchscreen interface from Tecan and the customizable TouchTools NAP wizard for magnetic bead or vacuum-based nucleic acid purification protocols.

There is increasing demand to purify genomic DNA (gDNA) from human blood and saliva at small scale and high throughput using liquid handling platforms. Promega’s ReliaPrep 96 gDNA Miniprep HT System is designed for automated recovery of gDNA from 100-350 μl of human whole blood or 350-700 μl of human saliva, for research use only, not for use in clinical diagnostics. Full automation of the gDNA purification process on a Freedom EVO® workstation streamlines laboratory workflows and provides reliable, rapid extraction of highly pure gDNA.

Tecan and MACHERY-NAGEL have joined forces to provide a flexible automated solution for the isolation of genomic plant DNA without compromising yield or purity. After the initial homogenization of the plant material, the workflow can be completely automated on a Freedom EVO sample preparation workstation, reducing the risk of contamination, carry-over and manual errors to a minimum. Processing time is only 50 min for up to 384 samples of plant extracts.
